A four-episode portrait of Nobel Prize recipient August Krogh

We are getting a head start on 2020, which is the 100th anniversary of the Nobel Prize awarded to Danish physiologist August Krogh.

The Nobel Prize resulted in a lecture tour to the United States and Canada. August returned home to Denmark with permission to manufacture insulin in Denmark and the rest of the Nordic countries. This ultimately led to the creation of Novo Nordisk and the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

In December, we are focusing on August Krogh through four videos about his life and accomplishments. His unique ability to understand the world around him and recreate it in the laboratory made him a brilliant researcher. August himself thought that loving the truth and loving people were the most important things in life.
