August Krogh Centre Symposium 2013

Metabolism in the Extreme and Extreme Metabolism

In 2013 the 2nd August Krogh Symposium will be entitled “Metabolism in the Extreme and Extreme Metabolism”, hosting internationally renounced speakers that will discuss the topic of metabolic regulation and adaptations during extreme environmental and/or physiological challenges ranging from survival of “tardigrades” in space to metabolic regulation in human during mountain clamping.

We believe that the interdisciplinary study of metabolism under rare or extreme conditions provides a unique opportunity to gain and discuss biological insights needed to better understand and interpret normal metabolic regulation.
