History of the August Krogh Club

The August Krogh Club idea was fostered by researchers associated with Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports, Department of Biology, and The Natural History Museum of Denmark.

The August Krogh Club was approved 2011 by the Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen. Read about the name.

Institutional links to the August Krogh Club are ensured by the Board composed of Head or Vice Head of the 3 departments involved prof. Karsten Kristiansen, Reinhardt Møbjerg Kristensen and Jørgen FP Wojtaszewski from BIO, SNM and NEXS, respectively.

The August Krogh Club Board meets bi-annually.

The daily management is ensured by the Steering Committee; assoc. prof. Henriette Pilegaard (BIO), assoc. prof. Nadja Møbjerg (BIO), prof. Bente Kiens (NEXS) and prof. Jørgen FP Wojtaszewski (NEXS, Head of committee).

The August Krogh Club Steering Committee meets monthly and are supported by secretary staff.

The financial administration is handled by Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports.
